Per Maine Historical Society:
“Pathways to Freedom: Maine Stories of the American Revolution explores the American Revolution through the lens of key Maine moments, where geography, natural resources, and a contested border with British-controlled Canada shaped the struggle for independence.
Through the stories of six real-life individuals—Pathfinders—the exhibit examines how Patriots and Loyalists, Wabanaki people and colonists, navigated the war in different ways, revealing the complex and often uncertain paths that helped forge a new nation.”
A series of illustrations featuring six ‘Pathfinders’ from wildly differing walks of life, created with extensive research and coordination from Maine Historical Society.
